[Q] Why for is your journal/blog mostly friends only?
[A] I have one foot in and one foot out of being visible online to the world. Especially for my business purposes I need people to know who I am, and let them find me easily. But I do have some aspects of privacy to my personality, and the normal paranoias about saying the wrong thing and having the internet take hold of it. For that reason most of my text posts are friends-only. Public posts tend to be very SFW, so if you're interested in anything with flavor you'll have to add me.

[Q] Your photos are kinda big, can you put them under a cut because you're blasting my friends page?
[A] I could, but I'm not going to because if you friend me you better like photos. My standard max width on the stuff I post is 1000 pixels wide, so if that's too big for you I'm sorry. I do put multiple photos behind cuts, but in general unless for some reason it's NSFW (extremely rare) I always have the first photo out there. So don't ask.

[Q] How did you take that one photo you posted?
[A] I have no problems revealing EXIF data or telling you what the shot set up was for something if I remember. In general I like questions about my photos, so don't hesitate to ask.

[Q] What kind of camera gear do you use?
[A] I am buying and selling new stuff all the time, but I try and keep an up to date list here.

[Q] What communities do you moderate?
[A] audiophile & digitalslr.

[Q] You posted a photo I really like, can I use it for my desktop?
[A] Unless I personally know you, and/or the photo is of you probably not. As a full time photographer my photos are my most valuable commodity. When it comes to my personal photos that to me have an intrinsic artistic value to them, I feel like they are very much devalued if I release them free of charge to all who request. If you see something that you really would like as a print let me know, I do sell prints.

[Q] Do you use filters on this journal?
[A] Yes. I have a couple, one for business, and one I post my more emotional entries behind. If you want to be on those filters let me know, the list of those who have access to them is pretty tightly controlled. Which is one of the things I love most about Livejournal, is you can control your audience.

[Q] The Amazing Josh? That sounds kind of pompous, are you a magician or something?
[A] I'd have to agree, and I don't go around saying I'm amazing about anything. Back in the days of AOL when everyone had a zillion screen names that changed on an almost daily basis, my good friend in San Diego (also named Josh) and I had a run for awhile when we were trying to out-do each other in the SN department. He came up with IncredibleJ, and my answer to that, was TheAmazingJosh. That was obviously many many years ago, but this is an old journal so it has since just kind of stuck. Oh and I'm still chatty, so if you like talking online feel free to say hi.
